Social Media Managers play a vital role for today’s most successful businesses. In this modern online landscape of constant change, while conducting business on the internet it is especially important to have seasoned internet marketers to partner with. As businesses become craftier and more aggressive to get their products or services in view of prospective customers, they are using strategies that simply were not around just a few years ago. Social media marketing is one of the most effective of these strategies that successful business owners have implemented and accepted as critical to their long term success.

Intelligent business owners have realized that a good Social Media Manager can build a highly targeted marketing campaign to gain exposure, brand recognition, and generate sales. It can be incredibly more affordable than television and radio advertisement because of the targeted nature the internet allows. An effective social media campaign will have the proper amount of optimized keywords to allow internet traffic to easily discover and view your company’s social profile. Fortune 500 companies like Starbucks, Microsoft, and Dell Computers have already incorporated this strategy into their business.

It’s obvious with sites like Facebook recently eclipsing 500 million users that there is clear growth in this sector. I have recently read reports that say that an average Facebook user is on the site for 4 hours and 39 minutes. Twitter users are logged on for an average of 31 minutes a day. Often times searches begin on social networks.then go to Google, Yahoo, or Bing. So it is now imperative to have a social profile on these large networks like Facebook and Twitter. These profiles can be highly visible and can include, pictures, video, and links to your main website.

Finding an effective Social Media Manager can be tricky, as all are not created equal. I would suggest selecting someone who is proactive in learning about your company image, services or products, and has a track record of creating a successful social media presence. Typically a person who is excited and upbeat will come across like this online. A person who is lazy or negative will also be exposed. So I suggest finding someone who is social by nature and can express themselves intelligently online.as well as offline.
