Homemade Kids Crafts And Gift Ideas For Independence Day

Kids are undeniably creative, it’s not a secret. Kids want to explore and create things without fear or shame. Even if it’s not perfect they would be proud of their selves and even show their art to everyone. So if you’re looking for Independence Day gift ideas that your kids will love, you came to the right place.

As an adult it is our responsibility to ensure that the crafts and activities of our kids are safe and suitable to their age. I understand that finding that right activity or craft is not easy so I have listed some examples of what you may do on July 4th. I assure you these examples are easy, fun, not expensive yet rewarding.

A Star-spangled Ride – If your kids own bikes or even a scooter, you and your child can design it to fit the occasion. Create a festive and patriotic look by cutting stars and adding that to the handle bar and safety flag poles. You may also add jingles by attaching bells on flag colored ribbon. Dangle them in the handle bars to catch attention. Ask your child to collect straws with colors of the flag then design the wheels with it.

Homemade Fan of the American Flag - Teach your child the ways to use a fan and help her create her very own Independence Day fan. With very easy steps which are to cut papers to from rectangles, design them and combine them using a paper clip. In less than 30 minutes your child will be waving fans. You may also ask her to invite friends so they have a fan fare.

The Crown of Freedom – Make your child smile by helping them make a crown that resembles the colors of the independence and the style of the crown of liberty. Use straws, garlands, pompoms and duct tapes. Ask your child to wear it and take a photo of him as a souvenir or have it framed.

Independence Day Confetti Shower – Parties involves fireworks and surprises all the time. If you’re good in simple physics then the best craft is to a confetti launcher. This is a safe and really fun way of celebrating the Independence of our country. Children may fire up confetti’s over and over again.

Safe Fireless Sparkling Fireworks Pen – Children always love to see fireworks and they even wanted to light one, but due to safety constraints it is just impossible. However, would it be fun to see your child running around with sparkles? Well wait no more, because you can help your child create their own sparkler. Use wire star garlands, attach them together on a pen. Connect it on a battery and whala! Instant fireworks display.

Stars and Stripes Hat – Create Uncle Sam’s hat and instill patriotism to your child’s mind. Create a simple costume party using the hat you created. You may also bring your child to a parade. You only need a paper bag, duct tapes, and colored papers. Just use the paper bag and create a hat out of it, cover it with colored paper that resembles the stripes, cut out stars and stick it on the hat. Just do those 3 steps and you’ll have a simple hat.

Patriotic robot for Independence – Kids love robots and what more can you give them on Independence Day than creating them a cute looking robot? Use a clear jar as the body, stick it on two used cans (will serve as the legs) and another can on top (will serve as the head). Put hands on the side of the jar using stick or rolled paper. Create eyes on the robots head and put colorful utensils on the can. The jar can be used to keep cookies and candies. I am definite that your child will love this robot.
