Homemade Kids Crafts And Gift Ideas For Independence Day

Kids are undeniably creative, it’s not a secret. Kids want to explore and create things without fear or shame. Even if it’s not perfect they would be proud of their selves and even show their art to everyone. So if you’re looking for Independence Day gift ideas that your kids will love, you came to the right place.

As an adult it is our responsibility to ensure that the crafts and activities of our kids are safe and suitable to their age. I understand that finding that right activity or craft is not easy so I have listed some examples of what you may do on July 4th. I assure you these examples are easy, fun, not expensive yet rewarding.

A Star-spangled Ride – If your kids own bikes or even a scooter, you and your child can design it to fit the occasion. Create a festive and patriotic look by cutting stars and adding that to the handle bar and safety flag poles. You may also add jingles by attaching bells on flag colored ribbon. Dangle them in the handle bars to catch attention. Ask your child to collect straws with colors of the flag then design the wheels with it.

Homemade Fan of the American Flag - Teach your child the ways to use a fan and help her create her very own Independence Day fan. With very easy steps which are to cut papers to from rectangles, design them and combine them using a paper clip. In less than 30 minutes your child will be waving fans. You may also ask her to invite friends so they have a fan fare.

The Crown of Freedom – Make your child smile by helping them make a crown that resembles the colors of the independence and the style of the crown of liberty. Use straws, garlands, pompoms and duct tapes. Ask your child to wear it and take a photo of him as a souvenir or have it framed.

Independence Day Confetti Shower – Parties involves fireworks and surprises all the time. If you’re good in simple physics then the best craft is to a confetti launcher. This is a safe and really fun way of celebrating the Independence of our country. Children may fire up confetti’s over and over again.

Safe Fireless Sparkling Fireworks Pen – Children always love to see fireworks and they even wanted to light one, but due to safety constraints it is just impossible. However, would it be fun to see your child running around with sparkles? Well wait no more, because you can help your child create their own sparkler. Use wire star garlands, attach them together on a pen. Connect it on a battery and whala! Instant fireworks display.

Stars and Stripes Hat – Create Uncle Sam’s hat and instill patriotism to your child’s mind. Create a simple costume party using the hat you created. You may also bring your child to a parade. You only need a paper bag, duct tapes, and colored papers. Just use the paper bag and create a hat out of it, cover it with colored paper that resembles the stripes, cut out stars and stick it on the hat. Just do those 3 steps and you’ll have a simple hat.

Patriotic robot for Independence – Kids love robots and what more can you give them on Independence Day than creating them a cute looking robot? Use a clear jar as the body, stick it on two used cans (will serve as the legs) and another can on top (will serve as the head). Put hands on the side of the jar using stick or rolled paper. Create eyes on the robots head and put colorful utensils on the can. The jar can be used to keep cookies and candies. I am definite that your child will love this robot.

Screen Printing Tshirts So You Can Use As A Corporate Gift

The term ‘printing’ may be explained as the procedure of creating lettering and pictures, usually using ink and paper via a printing press. The science of printing has really advanced and progressed over the years. Screen-printing, in all of its various forms, is a popular technique.

Screen printing, also called silk screening, is ideal for printing on flat and even materials. A thin screen is stretched taut around a wooden or metal frame, and ink is pressed through the uncovered areas of the screen to create an image. To create a print, the silk screen is placed on top of your material and the image is covered with a thick ink. The ink is then pressed with a heavy piece of rubber through the image and the screen. The print is created where the ink is pressed through the unmasked areas. A heated tunnel is then used to dry the wet print; the prints can then be stacked and packaged.

When a multi-color print is made, the procedure is performed again, changing screens. Thus, multi-color prints necessitate multiple screens positioned on a rotary press or performed manually, aligning the various colored prints in conjunction.

There are diverse methods of masking a screen. The easiest thing to do is to employ masking fluid right onto the screen. This process works very well for two-color graphics, while a photosensitive emulsion procedure is utilized for jobs involving multiple colors.

If you don’t specify what you want when you order a custom shirt, you may end up with your design printed in a sticky, plastic-containing ink. Water-based inks work best for the worn, vintage-looking shirts. If you want the look of a stark and heavier print, request an ink that contains plastics and is applied by a hot press.

Inks containing plastics are used by many screen printers because sometimes they last longer, are richer, heavier and more easily seen, not to mention being easier on the screen printing equipment. Within a short time frame, plastic inks can begin to crack up, though. Natural inks last longer and they look better too.

Process Of Screen Printing

Screen printing is one of the initial methods used in printing process. In this process, the ink or any other printing medium is passed through a screen or ‘mesh’ that has been fixed on a frame, and a stencil has been applied to it. The image that needs to be imprinted is determined from the stencil openings. For the different colors, different screens are prepared and the process is repeated.

The silk screen printing also known as serigraphs is a multiple printing technique that involves the use of stencils in order to transfer the design. The paint is applied on the silk screen and affects the areas that are not blocked by the stencil. Many colors can be applied by using several stencils in a single print. The serigraphs was developed as a commercial medium and is still used by modern artists. The silk screen has been replaced with a polyester material that is widely available and is also cheap as compared with silk material.

The screen printing first appeared in China during the rule of Song dynasty. The Asian countries started using the screen printing process in thirteenth century and advanced it further by combining the screen painting with block printing and paints. In late 1700s, the Europe started using the screen printing process but it gained wider acceptance much later as the silk was not available in the Europe at that time.

In the United States, the screen printing was popularized by artist Andy Warhol, he screen printed actress Marilyn Monroe in’62. A rotary machine was patented by Michael Vasilantone in’60 to print logos and team information on bowling garments but shortly, started printing on t-shirts. It was soon licensed by many manufactures for screen printing of garments making the rotary garment printing machine as a popular device for screen printing. In the United States, screen printing on garments account for almost half of the screen printing activity.

The screen printing business flourished and became a profitable industry. It was adopted by the artists to express and they used it to duplicate their works and they have been using it before ’00s. Currently, it is popular both in the commercial printing and fine arts industry. It is commonly used print images on the T-shirts, CDs, DVDs, hats, glass, ceramics, polyethylene, paper, polypropylene, wood and metals.

Currently, graphic screen printing is used in creation of mass or large batch production graphics such as posters or display stands. The screen printing is more suitable for printing on non-porous surfaces like ceramics and metals, curved surfaces like bottles and cups and also for short print runs.
