1967 Corvette Story

The 1967 Corvette is regarded by many to be the finest Corvette in its history. The second-generation Corvette was between the years of 1963 and its final year of 1967. Many enthusiasts consider this Corvette probably the greatest Corvettes of its era.

Some of the changes that happened from 1966 to the 1967 model year were rather small things like flat finish rockers sans ribbing, factory 6 inch rally wheels with very small chromed out beauty hubcaps, a new single backup light located over the license plate, and the handbrake was also relocated from below the dashboard to in between the seats. The small block V8 returned along with the 390 big block that jutted out the hood scoop.

The 1967 Corvette sported 11 inch disc brakes on the front and back. It included a standard 3 speed manual tranny, however you could choose a four speed manual or a 2 speed powerglide.

Some of the options included things like leather-based seats, power windows, head rests, soft Ray tinted glass, auxiliary hardtop, shoulder belts, air conditioning (amazingly only 3788 people added this option), vinyl covering, positraction rear axle, special front and rear end suspension, air injection reactor, transistor ignition system, heavy-duty brakes, the 390, 400, 435, 350, and 430 hp engines, aluminum cylinder heads on the L71, four speed manual transmission (close ratio or heavy-duty), powerglide tranny, 36 gallon fuel tank on the coupe, off-road exhaust system, side mount exhaust system, telescopic steering column, power steering, cast aluminum bolt on wheels, redline tires, speed warning indicator, AM/FM radio.

The L88 had several options that were mandatory by Chevrolet include transistorized ignition, positrain, power brakes, and a heavy-duty suspension system. You will possibly not believe this, but only 20 of these cars were sold new in 1967. You have to consider that those people were the ones that love power. Heck, they were only $1500 over the base price, however they are outrageously expensive and hard to find cars on today’s market.

The year of 1967 was the year in which Corvette’s sales drop by 5000 units, due to a new redesign that was coming out. However, the 67 Corvette is considered one of the quintessential collector cars of all time. Its impact on the car collecting world has been tremendous.

Pakistan’s Best Selling Automobiles

Quite a few years ago come across a broad spectrum of vehicles in Pakistan was not thinkable, with Toyota as the most important automotive maker. However, the last many years has been witness to a enormous upsurge in the range of makes for prospective customers to choose from. Partly because of home factories being set up and an swell in reconditioned imports, a more distinct collection of vehicles can be seen on city streets.

Toyota is still the major automotive maker in Pakistan with widely known brands like the Corolla outselling all other makes. Toyota has gained a status of surety all through the numerous decades of its market presence here and as a consequence, enables individuals to acquire good resale rate in the second hand automotive sector. Though not prized for its style Corolla has lost significant market share to sportier, finer looking models like the Honda Civic.

The Honda Civic is a close contestant for the top place but in spite of many years in Pakistan, it still ranks second. Sought after for its appearance and high living, the Civic has become somewhat of a status icon for the Pakistani elite. It has introduced various brands in Pakistan with each one being more lucrative than the prior one. Honda vehicles also acquire significant resale price in the reconditioned automotive business and are frequently acquirable in publications and online classifieds.

Suzuki has a couple of substantially important designs in the hatchback and coupe kind by the name of Khyber and Mehran, respectively. These vehicles are very inexpensive and satisfy middle-income consumers with tight budgets. They are also very economical to get and run, with brand new and second hand spare parts easily purchasable in the market. Despite the fact that they do not give the same brilliant quality offered by Toyota and Honda, these vehicles are dependable and are superb cash savers.

Many other automobiles that have also become reasonably widely known include a expansive line of Toyota models as well as different makes like Nissan. Even though offered in a more limited range and imported from other regions, these makes have become a lot more established in the last few years.

It is obvious that Pakistans automotive sector is controlled by Asian automotive companies and despite the fact that limited number of European, American and Korean makes have been there for some years, there is a massive lag between them and the primary vehicles made by companies like Honda and Toyota. Despite the fact that Honda quickly secured market share a not many decades ago, the conditions were completely different then and for American automotive companies to take a profitable portion of the business will be a substantially more difficult mission.

Asian cars are extremely popular with consumers in Pakistan in spite of a wider choice due to the introduction of new cars by many Western countries.

Performance from Muffler & Exhaust

The enjoyment of driving your car can frequently be interrupted by loud engine noises. This can even make it difficult to hear your music or even talk with friends or family. These problems are usually due to a problem with your muffler.

Mufflers help make driving enjoyable by reducing engine and exhaust noise. If from one minute to the next you can all of the sudden hear your engine or maybe it just sounds like outside noises that are extremely loud, you need to have your engine or exhaust checked. It isn’t just annoying but can also be dangerous because your muffler helps keep deadly gasses out of your car.

If you think that you might have a broken muffler, don’t wait too long to get it checked out. Exhaust can enter the car when your muffler is broken. It is important that this isn’t put off.

If your car is loud but you find out that your exhaust system isn’t broken, you might just want to look into getting a new muffler anyway. One that will filter out the noise better. A great muffler can make all the difference.

The whole muffler doesn’t always have to be replaced. A lot of times if it is a mere hole, nothing more, that they can easily patch it up for you. Sometimes holes are a sign that a new muffler is needed though.

Cars that have a lot of muffler and exhaust problems can be those that are kept for long periods of time in garages. When you start driving them get them checked out immediately so that you can save money and avoid making them worse.

Just because you cannot hear any loud noises doesn’t mean that you don’t have any exhaust problems. Every time you go in for an oil change or other repairs you should have your exhaust checked out. It might only be a leak, but even these shouldn’t be ignored. This can cause carbon monoxide to build up in the passenger compartment.

If you live in an area where you experience hard winters or a lot of salt, your muffler and exhaust need to be checked more often. The cold weather will leave condensation in the exhaust which never is hot enough to evaporate anything. This causes your exhaust to corrode.
