Screen Printing Tshirts So You Can Use As A Corporate Gift

The term ‘printing’ may be explained as the procedure of creating lettering and pictures, usually using ink and paper via a printing press. The science of printing has really advanced and progressed over the years. Screen-printing, in all of its various forms, is a popular technique.

Screen printing, also called silk screening, is ideal for printing on flat and even materials. A thin screen is stretched taut around a wooden or metal frame, and ink is pressed through the uncovered areas of the screen to create an image. To create a print, the silk screen is placed on top of your material and the image is covered with a thick ink. The ink is then pressed with a heavy piece of rubber through the image and the screen. The print is created where the ink is pressed through the unmasked areas. A heated tunnel is then used to dry the wet print; the prints can then be stacked and packaged.

When a multi-color print is made, the procedure is performed again, changing screens. Thus, multi-color prints necessitate multiple screens positioned on a rotary press or performed manually, aligning the various colored prints in conjunction.

There are diverse methods of masking a screen. The easiest thing to do is to employ masking fluid right onto the screen. This process works very well for two-color graphics, while a photosensitive emulsion procedure is utilized for jobs involving multiple colors.

If you don’t specify what you want when you order a custom shirt, you may end up with your design printed in a sticky, plastic-containing ink. Water-based inks work best for the worn, vintage-looking shirts. If you want the look of a stark and heavier print, request an ink that contains plastics and is applied by a hot press.

Inks containing plastics are used by many screen printers because sometimes they last longer, are richer, heavier and more easily seen, not to mention being easier on the screen printing equipment. Within a short time frame, plastic inks can begin to crack up, though. Natural inks last longer and they look better too.

Let People Know More About Your Company: Print Posters And Flyers

In addition to the conventional marketing methods including promotions on TV and newspapers, you can successfully enhance the market visibility of your company by deciding to print poster and flyers for advertising.

This technique is quite effective because it turns out to be more compelling and direct in approaching prospective customers. Here are a few important benefits of advertising your company by making use of posters and flyers.

Greater visibility – Although print ads would be looked at by a larger group, they may not motivate people to walk into your shop. On the other hand, sticking posters or giving away flyers in the neighbourhood of your shop will boost sales noticeably as your presence will be felt by consumers in the vicinity.

Quick outcomes – Unlike print ads and other traditional forms of promotion, flyers and posters can be created and printed in a matter of days, and the results from the same are quick and can be easily tracked. You would be able to instantly see the increase in the number of prospective buyers who walk into your store after reading a flyer handed to them or after seeing an eye-catching poster.

Cost-effectiveness – It costs very little to print poster and flyers and the designing too is not that complicated. It is sufficient if the end result is eye-catching and conveys all the necessary information to your potential buyers. Besides, any good printing company will incorporate your ideas in poster and flyer printing, and you would not have to spend money on getting them designed from specialists. Further, it is less expensive to abandon an under performing flyer or poster campaign than it is from many other marketing campaigns.

Customisation – Promotional strategies involving flyers and posters can be customized according to your specifications. For example, if you would like to start a guerrilla marketing drive, then putting up big and stimulating posters at unanticipated spots is a good strategy. Similarly, short-term promotional schemes can be publicised easily by distributing flyers which can also act as rebate coupons. In addition to this, you can print various types of posters and flyers for the same campaign that is normally tough to do in other methods.

Thus, by opting for poster and flyer printing, you can give a quick and effective thrust to your business, without having to go through a lot of trouble. Executing such a campaign is not a difficult task either and any professional printing company can provide end to end services in this regard.

Key Leaflet Creation Tips

Have you ever considered that a leaflet can be one of the most potent of all your selling materials?

It is a simple piece of paper but the first impact that your brochure creates is fundamental. If it’s shabby and unattractive your prospect is left with the same opinion. This will slow down your business growth.

Having a booklet professionally designed and published is a key to success in a jam-packed market. Taking the time to make sure that your brochure presents all the key information in a way that is easily figured is something that only a professional can do.

If you are just starting out in business you may be tempted to do your pamphlet yourself. When I first started in business I did everything myself – not a smart choice. That is why it took me 12 years before I was even relatively successful. Heed my warning – go professional from day one on your marketing materials. They are an investment and not an expense. Professionally designed materials will deliver you customers and the cash flow to follow – the reason why you are in business.

A pamphlet has to use eye-catching design. It has to be succinct in terms of the content and last but not the least, it must be successful in tempting people to make that call of action.

Here are three key design rules to follow when creating a leaflet. Use them and you will see your results flow.

1. The cover:

The cover is your salesperson. Booklets are quite inactive tools and you are not often able to ‘walk’ individuals through your booklet. So you need to excite people to read further. The cover is the starting point so must be tantalising and sharing the KEY values of WHY someone should read further. It should answer the WIFM question – What’s in it for me.

A great design company will show you at least three to four cover designs for your brochure. Dissect these designs to examine which excites you the most. Ask your acquaintances their opinion. Does the cover answer the question WIFM? If it doesn’t excite and answer the WIFM question, then skip to another design that works or get it redesigned. Taking the time here to get it right will pay bounties later.

2. The Content:

Once they are past the front then the content has to become the sales rep. So once again, the pressure is on to be great. Do not opt for cheap incompetent content writers or ask the designer to write the content or worst still do it yourself. Instead make sure that a professional copywriter is doing the work. If your design company does not have a copywriter then hire one yourself.

Determine that all the big questions that a potential customer will have about your merchandise are answered in a way that gets them to call you for more information. Do not go into ‘overkill mode’ and deluge them with too much data at this point in time. Remember the brochure’s job is to stimulate and get people to call you.

3. The call for action:

If your prospective client has read the brochure then you have done a great job. All you need to do now is give them a compelling reason to contact you NOW.

Having things like a free call 0800 or’00 number clearly shown (in big letters) can make a large difference. Having an email address is a clear bonus. Make sure these two are clearly placed in large clear type.

Even give your customers a special voucher on the booklet or reference code can help. But above all, make sure that you add a clear call to action. One way to do this is to readdress the KEY value of your service to your prospect in a way that will get them to take action. Remember value is everything. People only purchase something that is of value to THEM.

4. The bit that got missed:

I did this on purpose and only said there were 3 points. Well the last point is the one that can get overlooked. It is the ‘dummy’ one. Have you checked that you have these on your pamphlet:

Phone number | Fax number | Email address | Web address | Country of operation | City / area of operation | Company name | And have you proof read for typo and grammar errors?

Process Of Screen Printing

Screen printing is one of the initial methods used in printing process. In this process, the ink or any other printing medium is passed through a screen or ‘mesh’ that has been fixed on a frame, and a stencil has been applied to it. The image that needs to be imprinted is determined from the stencil openings. For the different colors, different screens are prepared and the process is repeated.

The silk screen printing also known as serigraphs is a multiple printing technique that involves the use of stencils in order to transfer the design. The paint is applied on the silk screen and affects the areas that are not blocked by the stencil. Many colors can be applied by using several stencils in a single print. The serigraphs was developed as a commercial medium and is still used by modern artists. The silk screen has been replaced with a polyester material that is widely available and is also cheap as compared with silk material.

The screen printing first appeared in China during the rule of Song dynasty. The Asian countries started using the screen printing process in thirteenth century and advanced it further by combining the screen painting with block printing and paints. In late 1700s, the Europe started using the screen printing process but it gained wider acceptance much later as the silk was not available in the Europe at that time.

In the United States, the screen printing was popularized by artist Andy Warhol, he screen printed actress Marilyn Monroe in’62. A rotary machine was patented by Michael Vasilantone in’60 to print logos and team information on bowling garments but shortly, started printing on t-shirts. It was soon licensed by many manufactures for screen printing of garments making the rotary garment printing machine as a popular device for screen printing. In the United States, screen printing on garments account for almost half of the screen printing activity.

The screen printing business flourished and became a profitable industry. It was adopted by the artists to express and they used it to duplicate their works and they have been using it before ’00s. Currently, it is popular both in the commercial printing and fine arts industry. It is commonly used print images on the T-shirts, CDs, DVDs, hats, glass, ceramics, polyethylene, paper, polypropylene, wood and metals.

Some Important Points In Brochure Printing

Brochures play a large role in the publicity of a company. They function like windows for the consumers, through which they gain knowledge about a company’s products, its history, & other details establishing a solid base for it in the market. Shoddy work on a brochure can do a lot of harm to the reputation of the company & therefore it is very crucial to take care while developing it. Read on to find out some very helpful suggestions both on brochure development and brochure printing.

The main objective of a brochure is to provide information. However, it also needs to be visually attractive, so that potential customers are are curious to read it. There should be a perfect blend of text and graphics, and the colours should be used harmoniously. Fonts, outlines, and graphics are vital components of brochure design and they should complement each other well. In addition to being coherent and easy to follow, the brochure must also be a visual delight and not cluttered.

The brochure printing related considerations should also be paid heed to at the time of designing. It is recommended to get a test print of the designed brochure to get an idea of how the final result will appear before clearing it for a mass print job.

You should also keep in consideration your financial allocation for brochure printing while developing the design. It’s a good idea to choose black and white printing if your budget is limited, as it will turn out to be more cost-effective than coloured printing. If you are not pulled back by budget and are planning for colorful brochures, then thicker and glossier papers should be used, as they enhance the beauty of colour prints. A concise brochure which needs printing on either side of the paper will need a sufficiently thick paper for printing.

Since brochure printing is done in large volume, always ask for discounts from the printing company.
