Try Graphic Design

Filed under: Business — admin @ 3:22 am

Although we now face a global recession, where many companies are going broke and an increasing number of people find themselves out of work, the advertising business seems to be stronger than ever. The amount of companies who require rebranding so that they can sell themselves in a better light than they have been doing is growing every day.

This is good news for the people in advertising and especially those in the graphic design business. Contrary to what most people think, being a graphic designer is not just being able to operate a Mac computer – it involves considerable time and training.

If you want a future in the world of advertising and graphic design, if you want to be able to point to a company and say we did their branding for them, then the very least that you need is an HND and preferably a BA in graphic design.

Graphic design is one area where, once you have done your training, and you have some initial contacts, it is possible to make a start as a one man band, and then growing the company as income and workload allow. Three of the main areas of employment were people are still moving forward are graphic design, online businesses and freelance writing.
